As a Senior Technical Sales Lead, your day is multifaceted and impactful. You take ownership of driving the success of the team by leading, mentoring, and guiding team members. You utilize your extensive experience and technical expertise to provide proactive support to the Sales organization, conducting competitive analysis and assisting in bid preparation. Engaging with customers, you present technical solution concepts, explain benefits, and build strong relationships throughout the sales cycle. Your role involves identifying business opportunities, translating customer requirements into SCADA/EMS features, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Additionally, you play a key role in proposal management, guide team members, and contribute to strategic decision-making. Your proficiency in electrical engineering, automation, and grid control technologies combined with your leadership and analytical skills make a significant impact on the overall success of the business.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Your new role will be challenging and focused on the future. The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication skills, a customer-centric approach, and a strong technical background in IT technologies for the power supply sector.
• In this position, you will provide technical expertise and proactive support to local Sales organization in SCADA/EMS by assisting them in the preparation of bids and conducting competitive analysis. Furthermore, you will be responsible for subsystems of the SCADA/EMS products, ensuring that demonstrations are conducted using appropriate data, workflows, and scripts based on the product release.
• Additionally, you will develop design options, conduct product demonstrations, and present technical solution concepts to customers related to SCADA/EMS using our control center products.
• You will participate in customer meetings to explain the benefits and use cases. You will be responsible for identifying and creating high-quality leads and product candidates. Maintaining and developing customer relationships throughout the sales cycle will also be part of your role.
• Actively provide market feedback to research and development team enabling them to develop the most advanced network control solutions for the future network.
• Supporting of proposal management in the offering phase and guide team members.
• 30-40% travel within North America

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical engineering, automation, or similar field.
• 5+ years SCADA/EMS
• Long term years of work experience with Grid control technologies such as SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition)/EMS (Energy Management Systems) including ability to build, configure and conduct high-level architectural discussions including 3rd party integrations.
• Extensive professional experience in sales, engineering, project management, or development within the solutions business is desired.
• Expert knowledge in technical problem analysis and a broad understanding of the international solutions business are essential. Proficiency in the business processes of energy supply (power transmission and distribution market) and a strong familiarity with control center products covering IT/OT integration.
• Able to identify business opportunities and provide technical expertise in translating customer requirements into SCADA/EMS features.
• Customer focused, Result oriented, Team Player with Strong Analytical Thinking.
• Additionally, your analytical ability and result-oriented approach will enable you to provide suitable solutions and compelling arguments.
• Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
