Job Summary:

The Business Development Manager is responsible for the development and management of commercial client relations and business accounts in the Pacific Northwest market. Additionally, responsible for developing and marketing the Bank portfolio of services. Provide high quality customer service in attending to the needs of present and potential customers. Achievement of annual objectives for self, team and bank related to business growth and profitability, credit quality and adherence to all bank policies and procedures.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Have a fundamental understanding of the unique structure, governance and land status of Tribes and Alaska Native Corporations.
  • Have a fundamental understanding of Native CDFIs and Banking.
  • Be able to read and understand financial statements.
  • Lead and develop client relations and accounts within the Pacific Northwest market, including individuals, entrepreneurs, minority contractors and organizations, supporting economic development.
  • Coordinate meetings with targeted clients and regional referral partner network that will lead to development of new deposit and loan opportunities supporting Native American Bank’s mission.
  • Maintain good working relationships with existing clients to enhance client retention and new sales through referral and references.
  • Represent the Bank at key events and be ready to give presentations on short notice that will increase NAB’s brand in the region.
  • Handle and maintain referrals from clients, contacts, management, directors, etc.
  • Support SVP and other leadership with launch of the region’s first bank branch operations.
  • Thoroughly understand and adhere to NAB’s Loan Policy and regulatory requirements.
  • Work with Deposit Operations and Lending staff to establish necessary depository and loan accounts.
  • In the event of deteriorating borrowing or banking relationship, assist lending and/or deposit operations teams with collecting any necessary information from client as the region’s point of contact. Must complete proper documentation and work with Chief Lending Officer and Credit Administration through this process.
  • Assist in preparing annual budget, goals, marketing plan and any other items for the PNW region as requested in support of the Bank during the year.
  • Be able to travel and attend conferences as directed and assist branches and Loan Production Offices as needed.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Basic knowledge of understanding financial statements and banking

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products and Internet usage
  • Organizational capability and analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize work and handle multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and handle stress related deadlines.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Education and Experience:

  • College degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum Five years of related experience

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
