Hybrid Warehouse/Customer Service role with a HVAC/Plumbing distributor.
Position Title:
Warehouse and Inside Sales Support Specialist
Job Summary:
The Warehouse and Inside Sales Support Specialist will be responsible for efficiently managing
warehouse operations and providing exceptional customer support through inside sales activities.
This role requires a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to
multitask in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of
plumbing products and HVAC equipment and possess a customer-centric mindset.
Responsibilities:
Warehouse Management:
- Receive, inspect, and organize incoming shipments of plumbing and HVAC equipment.
- Safely store products in designated warehouse areas, ensuring proper organization and
inventory management.
- Accurately pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment, adhering to company policies
and procedures.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and maintain inventory accuracy.
- Coordinate with suppliers and shipping carriers to ensure timely deliveries and resolve
any issues that may arise.
Inside Sales Support:
- Assist customers with inquiries, provide product information, and offer technical support.
- Process customer orders, including order entry, pricing, and invoicing.
- Collaborate with the sales team to identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
- Generate sales quotes and proposals, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery to customers.
- Follow up with customers to ensure customer satisfaction and identify opportunities for
improvement.
Technical Expertise:
- Develop a strong understanding of the plumbing products and HVAC equipment
represented by the company.
- Stay updated on product knowledge, industry trends, and technological advancements.
- Provide technical guidance and support to customers, addressing their concerns and
resolving issues effectively.
- Collaborate with manufacturers and suppliers to obtain product information and
specifications.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, understanding their needs and
requirements.
- Proactively communicate with customers to address any concerns, provide updates, and
ensure customer satisfaction.
- Identify opportunities to enhance the customer experience and make recommendations
for process improvements.
Skills:
Customer service
Forklift experience is required
Shipping and receiving, freight carrier communication, inventory control and auditing
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Qualifications and Requirements:
HVAC equipment is a plus.
- Proven experience working in a warehouse or similar environment, preferably with
plumbing products and HVAC equipment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in computer applications, including MS Office and inventory management
systems.
- Customer-focused mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional service.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Physically capable of lifting heavy objects and operating warehouse equipment.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
