Full description of the position

With over 40 hotels throughout Northern and Southern California, our company is seeking experienced, self-motivated, service oriented candidate to join our sales team in a fast paced environment with a rapidly growing company.

  • Sales Coordinator / Front Desk position, connecting with people, client/guest interactions; figuring out what it takes and closing the sale; it s not only your career, it's your passion. You'll have the opportunity to do this and more as Sales Coordinator!
  • This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills as well as the ability to respond effieciently and effectively to client inquiries.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Able to work with a moderate degree of independence.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong time-management and organization skills.
  • Excellent people skills and customer service skills.
  • Ability to do sales in-person, on the phone and email.
  • Proficiency with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • 1 Year Minimum experience with Hotel Front Desk and hotel operations.
  • Knowledgeable with Opera (Hotel PMS).
  • Supervisor and/or management experience.
  • Understanding of Hotel Sales and have knowledge of the local area.
  • Understand the competitive landscape and do what it takes to secure business that meets or exceeds revenue expectations and profit goals.
  • Connect with people in a meaningful way, continually innovating to expand the reach with key corporate, business, and travel industry accounts, tapping into community organizations and the media to elevate the hotel s market share awareness and driving further business.
  • Available for outside Sales calls and Sales Blitzes.
  • Establishes client base of organizations, associations, social groups, and corporate businesses through direct outside and inside sales, in order to secure business for the hotels.
  • Ensures that predetermined sales expectations are met or exceeded.
  • Negotiates guest room rates, meeting room rental, function space, and hotel services within approved booking guidelines.
  • Confirms agreements in writing and forwards document to client and affected hotel departments.
  • Conducts tours of the hotel and banquet facilities; entertains qualified potential clients in accordance with company and property policies and procedures.
  • Solicit, negotiate and book new and repeat clients using multiple channels, such as social media, outside calls, and telemarketing.
  • Capture the client s vision and effectively convey the specifications to appropriate departments, rapidly responding to inquiries, concerns, and issues, ensuring an exceptional client experience and seeding future sales.
  • Prospects for new business through solicitation, networking, and cold-calling.
  • Complete task and duties assigned by supervisor.
  • Prepare presentations, proposals and sales contracts

  • Perform guest services functions as required (i.e. check guests in/out, take reservations, we-up calls, etc.).
  • Prepare and distribute necessary daily reports as required.
  • Ensure accuracy of all numbers reported including statistics.
  • Input and update financial information into corporate communications network.
  • Keep management abreast of any unusual operational or financial events and/or deviations of policies or procedures.
  • Ensure overall guest satisfaction.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Overtime
  • Weekends as needed
