We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to join our team at the Briarcreek Apartments in Beaverton, OR. Briarcreek offers 216 affordable units. This position is responsible for assisting the Community Manager in maintaining all phases of community operations with a focus on leasing and completion of appropriate documentation.
Job Duties:
Minimizes vacancy, delinquency, bad debts, and any other rent related losses, including collecting rent and delinquent accounts
Maintains awareness of property performance goals and progress toward those goals, including occupancy and leasing
Develops knowledge of and keeps current on Fair Housing regulations
Tours and leases apartments and community to prospective residents
Prepares documentation for move-ins
Develops marketing strategies to generate traffic, maximize rents, and retain quality residents
Maintains general office and clerical procedures
Implements effective lease renewal and/or recertification program to include preparation of all paperwork
Provides assistance to Community Manager in ESITE
Shops competitive apartment communities and compiles market survey
Follows up with prospective renters
Monitors and coordinates repairs and resident service requests
Supports Maintenance staff as needed
Conducts inspection of property and vacant units on a daily basis

Maintains punctual, regular, and predictable attendance
Works collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED and 1+ years’ experience in sales or leasing in a multi-family housing environment
One or more years of progressively responsible property management experience
Two years Customer Service experience
Experience with affordable (LIHTC) housing is strongly preferred
