Boulo is recruiting for a Vice President of Sales & Marketing to join our client, a quickly growing marketing execution company specializing in print, promotions & sales enablement. Working as a member of the Leadership Team and under the company Chief Strategy Officer, the Vice President of Sales & Marketing is responsible to lead, manage, and be accountable for the Go To Market (GTM) Strategy for the Companies' Enterprise Solution (turnkey marketing execution services) as well as each line of business within the offering (SaaS - Through Channel Marketing Automation; Print Management; Direct Mail; Promotional Products and Corporate Apparel; Rewards and Incentives; and Fulfillment Services). This strategic leader will manage the marketing team to ensure effective and timely marketing campaign execution and will report on marketing effectiveness to the leadership team.

The Vice President of Sales & Marketing will have a dynamic, high energy, positive, and competitive personality with a strong desire to win and grow. We are looking for this leader to bring their industry best practices and strategies to the Company to help drive continued long-term growth. This position will lead the marketing team and work closely with the sales team to drive lead generation, net new clients, and to achieve our overall growth objectives. The candidate should have experience in all areas of marketing including product management; digital marketing; video marketing; brand awareness; direct marketing; and possess a data-driven mindset around target markets, results, and ROI. This leader will have a proven ability to analyze campaign effectiveness and pivot quickly and seamlessly to other content and tactics based on campaign analytics.

In addition to leading marketing team and initiatives, the Vice President of Marketing will also be a strategic thought-leader and subject matter expert to key accounts, providing marketing strategy insights and recommendations for direct marketing campaign effectiveness. Clients who currently seek our expertise in direct marketing and data management include companies in the non-profit, healthcare, financial services, and manufacturing verticals.

Responsibilities of the Vice President of Marketing:
  • Focusing on one or more key target market segments, develops, manages and executes the GTM launch plan for each line of business and overall enterprise solutions to ensure cross-functional internal alignment and success.
  • Gain insights into existing customer base and key industry verticals. Understand why our clients work with us and why they continue to stay with us. Learn about competitive offerings and our differentiators in the market by line of business and turnkey enterprise solutions (one stop shop)
  • Direct the work and set priorities for the creative and content teams, working with line of business sales support to ensure focus on key market opportunities and revenue drivers. Provide leadership around campaign positioning, messaging, value proposition, sales segmentation, and route-to-market strategy in concert with product management, sales, marketing, and the leadership team.
  • Together with strategy team, improves target market definition/understanding for existing and new markets and targeted accounts.
  • Working closely with the leadership team, product leaders, and sales, identify opportunities for cross sell and solution suites across the product offering and oversee GTM activities to execute.
  • Actively engages in the win/loss program, monitor competitor activity.
  • Develop and execute a unified marketing strategy to drive inbound leads and brand awareness to achieve company growth objectives. Help position the Companies' brands to maximize our market advantages.
  • Participate in certain customer Enterprise Business Reviews, providing marketing expertise and strategy to clients who look to us for guidance in data segmentation and direct marketing execution.
  • Be a subject matter expert to the sales and account teams for certain customer projects and opportunities when marketing expertise and strategy is required to help win client business.
  • Lead, manage and hold internal and external marketing teams accountable for success.
  • Manage an annual budget and be creative with available marketing funds to ensure key marketing metrics are consistently achieved.
  • Keep up to date on the latest marketing strategies and technology to bring innovative solutions to the business.
  • Help in creative ideation of new products and service offerings including market research, production differentiation, pricing, and activation including product launches and on-going promotions.
  • Be available to help sales team with opportunities, creative client engagement, and RFP’s as needed.
  • Attend trade shows and industry events based on marketing strategy and objectives.
  • Network to attract and recruit top talent.
  • Provide reporting and analytics to the leadership team for objectives and key results on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.

Requirements of the Vice President of Sales & Marketing:
  • Requires a bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, communications, or relevant field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in strategic marketing and management roles
  • Proven success as a marketing executive or senior level marketer including leading teams and achieving objectives and key results.
  • Proficiency with HubSpot or similar inbound marketing platform and CRM.
  • Experience in software and manufacturing verticals is preferred.
