DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
FCI is looking for strong, outgoing, effective communicators to join its Oregon Energy Efficiency team. We are looking for experienced energy efficiency personnel to work as an Energy Efficiency Specialists.
Ideal candidate will have experience in marketing, commercial lighting auditing and outside sales. The Energy Efficiency Specialists will be working on energy efficiency programs and projects, that support utility program goals.
They will be part of a team which will identify, define and coordinate energy efficiency and demand reduction projects for small commercial business customers. The Energy Efficiency Specialists will be responsible for program administration, daily reporting, interacting with small commercial business owners, and other stakeholders.
Job Details:
In addition to performing comprehensive on-site energy assessments/inspections the Energy Efficiency Specialists will have the following basic job responsibilities, which include, but are not limited to:
- Conduct field analysis of potential business facilities; determine opportunities for lighting upgrades, water efficiency products or other energy savings opportunities.
- Excellent sales service to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through “Going the extra mile” to drive sales, and experience engaging customers and answering their queries.
- Conducts comprehensive energy audits in accordance with industry best practices and Company specifications.
- Follow and achieve program sales goals on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.
- Responsible for program reporting including audit documentation, cost tabulation, and audit findings in Excel spreadsheets and/or CRM databases as appropriate.
- Conduct program outreach and education to targeted customers, contractors, and local businesses.
- Generate energy savings proposals for customers to communicate assessment results with cost savings, simple payback, equipment data, and energy efficient measure recommendations.
- Build relationships with material distributors to engage and increase participation in the midstream program.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Outside Sales experience. One year or more of experience in sales is preferred.
- Proven work experience as an energy efficiency assessor/advisor or similar role.
- A Bachelor’s degree is preferred; an Associate’s degree or Technical school certification with equivalent work experience in the electric/gas utility field will be considered.
- One year or more of experience in the energy management with an electrical or natural gas utility industry, energy efficiency and demand management company, facilities management, HVAC design or sales, commercial and industrial lighting.
- Familiarity with LED lighting is preferred but not required.
- Ability to analyze and interpret complex and or quantitative data and solve practical problems and communicate clearly and concisely both orally, and in writing.
· Computer literacy -must be proficient in Microsoft Office
- Organized, reliable, expert in time management, and pays attention to detail.
- Successful Applicant must have valid State Class C Driver’s License, reliable transportation, and current automobile liability insurance in their name.
