We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Salesperson to join our team and take charge of soliciting and securing less-than-truckload (LTL) refrigerated freight customers in the Western United States. You will be responsible for customer-direct sales, focusing on building and maintaining strong relationships with businesses needing refrigerated transportation solutions. This is a non-brokerage role, and your primary objective will be to identify, engage, and convert potential customers into long-term partners.
Responsibilities
Sales Strategy and Execution:
Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to solicit and secure LTL refrigerated freight customers in the Western United States.
Able to identify potential customers and target industries with a high demand for refrigerated transportation services.
Proactively contact prospective customers through various channels, including cold calling, networking, referrals, and industry events.
Conduct in-depth needs analysis to understand customer requirements and align them with our refrigerated freight solutions.
Prepare and deliver persuasive sales presentations and proposals to potential customers, highlighting our services' unique value proposition and benefits.
Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, ensuring their ongoing satisfaction and maximizing opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
Act as the primary point of contact for customers, addressing any inquiries, concerns, or issues promptly and professionally.
Regularly follow up with customers to assess their evolving needs and identify potential opportunities for growth or expansion.
Collaborate closely with the operations team to ensure seamless execution of transportation services and customer satisfaction.
Market Research and Competitive Analysis:
Stay current with industry trends, market conditions, and competitors' offerings in the LTL freight space.
Conduct thorough market research to identify emerging opportunities and potential customers.
Monitor and analyze market dynamics, pricing structures, and customer preferences to adapt sales strategies and remain competitive.
Sales Performance Tracking and Reporting:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer interactions, sales activities, and progress.
Prepare regular sales reports and provide updates to the management team regarding sales pipeline, revenue forecasts, and key performance metrics.
Continuously evaluate and improve sales techniques and processes to enhance overall efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications:
5 years of transportation experience in an LTL environment.
5 years of inside sales experience.
