Job Description:

The Logistics Sales Manager is responsible for managing the sales and marketing activities of a logistics company. The role requires extensive knowledge of the transportation and logistics industry, including supply chain management and warehousing. The Logistics Sales Manager will recruit, train, coach, & develop the St. Louis 360 sales team and be responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies to increase revenue and profitability. A terrific candidate would have experience growing & loading a logistics brokerage team.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the sales team and provide guidance, coaching, and training to ensure they meet their targets.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to grow revenue and profitability.
- Build relationships with new customers to increase sales.
- Negotiate rates with carriers and customers to ensure profitability.
- Analyze market trends and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
- Work closely with the team to ensure timely and efficient transportation and warehousing of goods.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities and customer interactions.
- Communicate effectively with customers and suppliers to ensure a high level of customer service is provided.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, or related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in sales management in the logistics industry.
- Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Extensive knowledge of the transportation and logistics industry, including supply chain management and warehousing.
- Ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and logistics management software.
Working Conditions:
The Logistics Sales Manager will work in an office environment, but may also be required to travel to meet with customers and suppliers. The job may require working outside of regular business hours to accommodate customer needs.
Salary:
The salary for a Logistics Sales Manager will vary depending on experience. First year OTE ranges from $75,000- 125,000 per year, with the potential for performance-based bonuses.
