SMV Recruiting is currently seeking a dynamic and motivated Sales Specialist to join our client's team in Syracuse or Rome NY. Our client is a reputable material handling company that offers a wide range of products designed for lifting, moving, and storing various goods. As a Sales Specialist, you will be primarily responsible for driving business growth by identifying and acquiring new clients. This role will require local travel to proactively engage with potential clients, including cold calling and door-to-door visits. The ideal candidate will have a preferred engineering degree, engineering background, or be mechanically inclined and will thrive in an outbound sales role that focuses on building lasting client relationships. Responsibilities:

• Drive business growth by proactively seeking and acquiring new clients in upstate NY
• Conduct cold calling and door-to-door visits to present material handling solutions
• Build strong and lasting relationships with clients, understanding their needs and offering suitable solutions
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a smooth sales process
• Stay updated with industry trends and market developments
• Maintain organized records of sales activities and progress in CRM software
• Provide timely sales reports to management for performance tracking

Requirements:

• 5+ years of overall experience
• Bachelor's in Engineering or related field is preferred
• Valid driver's license
• Proven track record in outbound sales and relationship-building
• Highly self-motivated and able to work independently
• Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales-related tools

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
