This position is primarily responsible for selling custom applied mechanical equipment and HVAC products. We’re looking for someone who is great at making relationships and is proud of their technical acumen. The products we promote are leading edge energy efficient products. The customers we serve are consulting mechanical engineers, facility managers and large mechanical contractors. You must be comfortable presenting technical subject matter and design strategies in front of other mechanical engineers. The position requires a person to quote and manage projects for HVAC applications including boilers, chillers, heat pumps, and custom air handlers.
Ideal candidate would have a mechanical engineering degree with experience designing mechanical systems. We are seeking individuals who are ambitious and self-motivated. The field is very rewarding for those who are mechanically inclined and personally driven.
Responsibilities:
- Assist consulting engineers with system design, product selection and specification writing
- Provide technical expertise/assistance on product applications
- Call on consulting engineers and facility owners
- Call on contractors to promote represented HVAC products and maintain relationships
- Manage multiple projects from the design phase to commissioning
- Responsible for maintaining and developing an expert level of product knowledge
- Coordinate work with multiple project team members
- Develop and maintain positive and sustainable client relationships via meetings, trade-shows, one on one interactions and possibly factory visits
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with owners, engineers and contractors
Qualifications
- 2+ years relevant experience in commercial HVAC sales preferred
- Mechanical Engineering degree or other Engineering degree preferred
