Customer Support and Sales Representative

We are seeking a friendly and professional Customer Support and Sale Representative to answer calls from customers and help them with project needs through the rental and/or sale of equipment, parts, and accessories. They will also provide valuable support to our Customer Service Sales Representatives with counter rentals and sales.

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule: Day shift, Monday to Friday, alternating Saturday 7am to 12pm

Location: Kahului, Maui

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)

Experience:

• Two-years (2) customer service and point of sale (POS) system experience.

(We will train employees on our equipment and services.)

• Preferred: Two (2) years Call Center experience. Two (2) years construction equipment rentals and sales experience. Experience working with POS system, Alert.

Responsibilities:

• Answer calls from customers and greet walk in customers assisting them in finding the right equipment or part for their job.
• Complete reservation requests in Alert with complete and accurate details of both customer information and job details. Input missed rentals on system when unable to secure rental.
• Communicate with office team members at branches upcoming reservations in a clear and efficient manner via phone, email, Google Chat, or any other medium deemed appropriate.
• Resolve customer issues at a base level. Escalate to office team as applicable or management for difficult or complicated issues. Clearly provide background information and context, so the assisting team member accurately understands the issue and is in the best situation to bring it towards a positive resolution.
• At the end of the rental, process payments and close tickets.
• Restock supplies and parts in showroom.
• Perform misc. administrative tasks to keep office running smoothly.

Performs all duties and interacts with customers and coworkers in a friendly, professional, and courteous manner.

Skills & Abilities:

• Team player with positive attitude.
• Excellent customer service skills. Friendly. Professional and Patient.
• Must be computer literate and unafraid to work on the computer – company willing to train.
• Must be able to learn to a wide range of equipment and explain basic use for customers.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with all coworkers, managers, customers, and vendors honestly and respectfully.
• Must be able to work independently and keep manager updated.
• Basic problem-solving skills and basic math skills.
• Mental dexterity to learn and recall various product information and effectively match products/services with customer needs.
• Able to come to work on time as scheduled.

Physical Demands:

Lift up to 25 lbs. occasionally – equipment, supplies, parts; bend/stoop/climb frequently – stairs, restock showroom, etc. 95% - Indoor working – office work.

Pay: $11.60 - $21.68 per hour
