The Job

General Purpose of The Job
Creating the overall business segment strategy. Directs and coordinates customer service activities related to installations, training, machine and sub-system qualifications, remote support and on-site service. Assists VP of business development in creation of the marketing strategy to sell parts, upgrades and services.
Primary duties and Responsibilities
- Develop training programs in response to customer Service Engineering needs.
- Manages the P&L for specified business segment.
- Tracks all service and warranty costs (labor and material) to ensure accuracy of estimates and profitability of business segment.
- Develops and maintains installation, qualification and service procedures.
- Creates, builds, and documents new departmental policies, procedures, and competencies.
- Implements and manages methodology for obtaining feedback from Service Engineering and Customers to include continuous improvements opportunities, new product ideas, customer satisfaction, machine quality issues, etc.
- Engage foreign entities for international service opportunities to create a world-wide service organization.
- Maintain a positive work atmosphere by interacting with customers, clients, co-workers, supervisors, managers, and all other employees with clear and courteous communications.
- Adhere to and maintain all ISO 9001 procedures and requirements of the sales support function. This includes active participation in the internal and external audits when necessary.
- Provide formal notification to appropriate company personnel of any customer dissatisfaction or of any instances of poor product/service quality.
- Actively participate in forecasting, and annual operation planning.
- Manage expenses within budget.
- Communicate market activity on an ongoing basis.
- This position will require global travel so you must be eligible to cross international borders.

Qualifications and Skills
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or manufacturing related field; and/or a minimum of five years related experience in building and directing a business segment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience with CRM software such as Salesforce is preferred.
- Must demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively, to read and interpret documents and business correspondence, to write routine reports and correspondence and to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
- Addition, Subtraction, multiplication, and division in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages, and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Common sense understanding of instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form require to carry out company directives. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Must supply and maintain a valid driver’s license, proof of ownership of the vehicle and a certificate of insurance for the vehicle being used for business. The minimum liability requirements are $100,000 per occurrence/$300,00 aggregate. The above will be required upon hire and will be requested annually.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
