About us

Silicon Valley Microelectronics, Inc. (“SVM”) is the world’s largest distributor of silicon wafers and wafer processing. Founded in 1990, SVM has earned a reputation for outstanding quality and extraordinary customer service. We are a small, family-oriented team of about 30 people, with an average tenure of 11 years.

We are looking for a Sales Representative to create and maintain long-term relationships with our customers. The Sales Representative’s role is to actively seek out new sales opportunities, oversee a portfolio of customers, and develop new business from existing clients. In this role, you will work with our internal teams (including Customer Service, Purchasing, and Shipping/Receiving) to execute sales and ensure an outstanding overall customer experience. This position requires occasional domestic and international travel.

If you have the desire to become a professional in technical sales and are willing to put in the effort – we will train you.

The job responsibilities are as follows:

• Prospect new customers.
• Develop new business with existing customers.
• Handle internet inquiries.
• Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our products to your customers.
• Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer and vendor relationships.
• Collaborate with the team on customer issues/opportunities.
• Handle quality and/or other issues when they arise.

Qualifications & Skills:

• BA/BS degree required.
• Fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese, German, or Japanese (experience living/working in area of foreign language competency required).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Sales experience is not necessary. A strong drive to succeed is mandatory.
• Proficiency with MS Office, particularly MS Office, Word, and Excel, will be helpful.
• Proven ability to multitask will be very helpful in this position.
• Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $64,672.00 - $500,000.00 per year
