JOB SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for preparing quotes based upon information provided, and acts as liaison between external customers, regional sales managers, and various internal departments.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Prepare quotations as requested by Product Managers, Regional Sales Managers, Dealers, etc.

· Review and validate quotations for standard machines

· Act as liaison between external customers and internal departments (i.e., Sales, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Service)

· Coordinate resolution on customer issues or problems

· Act as liaison and advocate to external customers for order acknowledgements

· Ensure accuracy of orders before release to Manufacturing or Shipping, including reviewing and verifying with external customers

· Process order entry and lead order entry meetings

· Coordinate activities with Accounting to avoid and/or resolve any accounts receivable issues that may arise

· Screen incoming sales phone calls and route to appropriate contact

· Maintain various files and records, including literature supplies, etc.

· Coordinate in-plant customer visits, making accommodation arrangements as needed

· Provide assistance to other Sales Support Specialists as needed

· Provide input on continuous improvement ideas to enhance the customers’ “Messer Experience”

MINIMUM EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS:

· High school diploma or equivalent

ADDITIONAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Windows-based programs

· Proficient in basic mathematical skills

· Must demonstrate ability to grasp technical concepts (e.g., spatial relationships, technical terms, etc.)

· Excellent oral and written communication skills

· Ability to deliver quality and detailed work on tight deadlines, with strong organization and priority setting skills

· Must be willing to develop a knowledge of machine models, capabilities, applications, options, cutting process and limitations

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $25.50 per hour
