The Capital Equipment Sales Representative for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for accurately anticipate the needs of customers and execute on a sales strategy to help us become the technical vendor of choice.

This position is part of the Microbiology Sales team located in Northern California/Western Nevada and will be fully remote. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Call on accounts in your sales territory as well as prioritize sales activities in the accounts in an active sales cycle (existing and competitive) to position Beckman Coulter solutions to meet customer needs.

  • Own an account plan as well prepare and execute business reviews with strong organization with strong program and sales management skills

  • Implement the sales plan designed to achieve established sales and financial goals.

  • Through proven market and competitive knowledge, develop and execute creative strategies to influence the decision criteria and utilize winning tactics to close the sale.

  • Effectively link Beckman Coulter’s Microbiology solutions to the customers’ technical, financial and business needs.

  • Strategically use internal and external resources including Service, Applications, Field Product Specialists, Leadership and Client Services to build and execute agreed upon strategy.

  • Handle an account plan weekly, work diligently within the sales cycle activities, prepare for and deliver business reviews effectively (both with customers and internally)

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferable in science with 5+ years experience OR Master's degree in field with 0+ years experience OR Doctoral degree in field with 0+ years experience

  • Capital equipment, laboratory or medical device sales in a hospital or laboratory setting required or direct experience as a Microbiology Medical Technologist or combination of relevant sales and microbiology technologist experience.

  • Proven understanding of tactical sales skills: prospecting, qualifying, closing, and growing existing customers; we strongly prefer this experience in laboratory diagnostics

  • Strong executive presence, communication and presentation skills; demonstrated ability to clearly, concisely and accurately conduct a technical presentation

  • Must be willing to travel 30 - 50% of the time, which may include some overnight travel and willing to resides within the territory

The salary range for this role is $82,000K-$109,000K. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
