8810 Bid Manger – Job Description

Summary:
Reporting to the Estimators, the Bid Manager is responsible for preparing the Job Folder and all the supporting reports, NTO, Locates, COI, and putting Estimate into QuickBooks Enterprise (QBE) and Preparing Bids for Estimators
Key Responsibilities:

The responsibilities of the Bid Manager include, but are not limited to:

Create Proposal Document and Records:

• Create job folder for the Proposal/Estimate and put all the Proposal information in it.
• Proposal/Contract (preferably signed).
• NTO.
• Locates.
• COI.
• Create a Scope of Work Form.
• Any other forms needed for the Job Folder.
• Create Locates
• Obtain COI’s
• Make sure all Estimates are entered in Quick Books Enterprise (QBE) Estimates

Prepare Bids for Estimator:

• Reviews all the bids in the queue.
• Makes sure the bids are viable for the Estimators.
• Map out the jobs and get the bids ready for Estimator.
• When the contract gets awarded make sure everything is correct.
• Monitor the Proposals that are completed.
• Reviews the contract when awarded and gets contract ready for company President to sign.
• Qualifications:

Education, Training and Certifications:

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred

Work Experience:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience within the construction industry

Technical Knowledge:

• Knowledge Land Clearing and/or Logging Industry a big plus.
• Understanding of construction estimating a must.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $42,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Lake Worth, FL 33467: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Willingness to travel:

• 25% (Preferred)
