Full description of the position

LabCorp is seeking outstanding sales talent to grow and develop our market share of clinical laboratory clients in targeted market segments. LabCorp’s Regional Business Development Executive position will focus on gaining larger volume laboratory clients including multi-specialty clinics, and other medium to larger practices requiring a specialized approach. LabCorp is the clear regional Diagnostics leader in market, as well as leading with key health system partnerships in the California regions. This is an ideal position for executive level diagnostic sales professionals who can leverage the vast capabilities LabCorp offers to key C-Suite level decision makers. This position has high visibility and income potential, and will be located in San Diego, Riverside & San Bernardino Counties.

The position will be responsible for effectively communicating and selling the full range of benefits of LabCorp’s clinical diagnostics offerings to practices in these markets. The Regional Business Development position executes our direct sales efforts primarily to the clinic’s C-Suite leadership and providers. This is a true hunter role, and the candidate is expected to prospect, develop and close his or her own sales targets on a monthly basis, in tandem with a long term focus required for larger conversion targets. Additional support will be provided by LabCorp’s Value Based Care team to help target and network among ACOs, IPAs, CINs, and provider groups in the region.

Responsibilities:
  • Sell laboratory testing services to professionals within medium to large clinics and physician groups, as well as other HHS Foundation models throughout the Southern California Market.
  • Reach key decision makers in large multi-provider groups to communicate the advantages and capabilities LabCorp offers
  • Integrate our core strengths with the population health needs and goals of clients, local and state governments, and patients in the region
  • Create and execute a plan for revenue growth incorporating ACOs, IPAs, Foundations, CINs, and related provider organizations managing Value Based Care arrangements
  • Increase the adoption of Value Based Care data tools among current and future clients
  • Meet and exceed sales goals and achieve maximum sales growth in assigned territory
  • Successfully build and execute an annual business plan with quarterly updates
  • Network, prospect, and build a sales pipeline that will provide ongoing revenue goal achievement, aided by LabCorp’s sales analytics team to assist with targeting
  • Accurately forecast and maintain a sales funnel of new opportunities in-line with monthly and quarterly goals
  • Effectively manage travel logistics to maximize sales productivity
  • Collaborate, communicate and actively contribute to new business opportunities with LabCorp Clinical Sales counterparts
  • Attend local and national professional trade shows and events as requested
  • Collaborate closely with team members to retain current book of business
  • Effectively communicate value propositions to all targeted customers and prospects
  • Perform in-services, training and implementation with pertinent personnel and physician staff, with support and assistance from our implementation team.
  • Provide ongoing customer support, education on focus products and market updates for current customer base

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required. Science background highly desired
  • Minimum of 5 years' medical outside sales experience required
  • Previous experience selling directly to Physicians required
  • Previous laboratory or diagnostics sales experience highly preferred
  • Proven success managing and growing a book of business
  • Ability to collaborate closely with sales and operations teams to grow the business
  • Demonstrated track record of recent success and sales accomplishments
  • Strong consultative selling and closing skills
  • Ability to understand and articulate complex scientific literature and use extensive and complex clinical data as a key factor in the sales process
  • Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Ability to travel 10-30%

Pay Range: $110,000-140,000 plus commissions
