WHAT YOU WILL DO
TEAM is hiring for a Territory Sales Manager to support the expansion of our clients via increased brand awareness, distribution, door count, training, sales and revenue. The Territory Sales Manager (TSM) will be responsible for expanding established markets and developing new ones by introducing our client’s portfolio of products to retailers, distributors, and consumers. The TSM will be based from their home office and work in the field, both visiting existing and prospective accounts as well as working with distributor partner sales teams. The TSM role covers a multi state geography and requires virtual calls from a home office on a consistent basis, with some travel required. As a TSM, you will be responsible for driving sales and distribution growth within the designated retail channel, visual merchandising, consumer, distributor, and retailer education, and assisting with the design and implementation of marketing programming all with a focus on revenue generation.
- Drive sales, distribution, and revenue within their account universe
- Add new direct B2B doors
- Increase door count, sales, and velocity of client products in the territory
- Add new SKUs to doors within the territory. The goal is continuous improvement
- Identify and pursue new points of distribution for portfolio growth, leading effective collaboration and engagement with local distributor sales force to drive sales volume and increase market penetration in defined territories/geographies
- Support local distributors with trainings, development, and retail integration
- Build relationships with accounts and be the face of the brand
- Support local brick & mortar retail doors with trainings, POS, swag, and merchandising support
- Implement sales and merchandising materials needed for accounts
- Work on the creation and deployment of POS and merchandising tools, and display programs. Then analyze the performance and ROI from of these initiatives
- Support the development of a channel strategy, leveraging the strengths of each channel to grow velocities, trial, and education. i.e., Retail, Smoke Shop, Distributor, Dispensary
- Identify and execute in-market sponsorship or events including Trade Shows that will help drive consumer awareness, trial, and sales
- Oversee activations with Distributor and client partners
- Provide local market insights and best practices
- Drive social media presence sourcing and working with local influencers
- Comply with all Federal, State, and Local laws and requirements, as well as COVID-19 protocols and guidelines
Administrative Responsibilities:
- Regular submission and tracking of day-to-day activities in designated platform
- Attend and participate in regular status calls with both client and company personnel
- Responsible for managing and maximizing activation and TE budgets allocated for market, submitting regular expense and recap reports
- Manage informational requests and recap key takeaways for management reporting
- Travel within assigned territory for account, client, and activation visits
- Manage budgets, tactical resources, and tools to maximize returns throughout the year
WAYS TO STAND OUT FROM THE CROWD
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
- 3-5 years related industry - CPG sales experience is REQUIRED. Ideally experience in cannabis or Bev-Alcohol or natural products CPG.
- A passion for building brands and an entrepreneurial spirit
- Travel up to 25%
- Ability to coordinate efforts with retail personnel, 3rd party alliances, and client
- Familiarity with local market trendsetting accounts
- Strong presentation and interpersonal communication skills

- Ability to establish strong client and distributor relationships that drive local market success for the brand.

- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

In order to comply with equal pay and salary transparency laws in various locations, the Company believes the target range of base compensation for this role is $75K-80K. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and location.
