Job Summary:
iHeartMedia San Francisco is seeking a Senior Vice President of Sales to lead our diverse media portfolio including on-air, online, and live events. Based in the tech-forward Bay Area, this role offers an exciting opportunity to drive innovation in the ever-evolving media landscape. We're looking for a leader who can fuse traditional and novel approaches, articulating our unique value to both our team and clients.

Strategic Leadership and Planning:
Translate market and station business strategies into specific actions to generate sales and revenue, with a strong focus on reestablishing the value of broadcast radio and effectively articulating its unique proposition
Set sales goals and guide subsequent goal-setting processes, using innovative and forward-thinking strategies that drive revenue growth
Prepare budgets and revenue forecasts
Review and adjust sales territories, product mix targets and assigned call lists to encompass a comprehensive range of media assets, including traditional and digital radio, streaming audio, podcasts, and events

Sales Management and Performance:
Manage local Account Executives with the goal of meeting/exceeding station revenue, prospecting and new business targets, while ensuring a balance and prioritization of responsibilities across product lines
Oversee advertising sales activities in assigned market; accountable for achieving/exceeding targeted advertising sales revenues for the market and for controlling sales expenses
Direct sales activities and processes that generate new business and deepen existing relationships
Oversee management of available advertising inventory to drive most profitable sales, with a strong command of Salesforce for CRM management and data accuracy

Team Development and Coaching:
Provide strong leadership to direct leadership reports (VPs of Sales), with a focus on continuous coaching, mentoring, and growth opportunities
Recruit, hire and ensure ongoing training and development of Account Executives, fostering a culture of ownership and accountability
Go on sales calls and conduct in-field coaching to develop Account Executives
Meet with key accounts and maintain transparent, consistent communication, with regular check-ins, feedback sessions, and an open-door policy

Operational Oversight:
Obtain, allocate and adjust operations resources to achieve sales and service goals, demonstrating resilience and positivity under pressure
Direct other functions such as marketing, advertising, production, traffic and sales operations, adapting to the rapidly evolving media landscape with innovative solutions

Respect for others and a strong belief that others should do this in return

Accountability for sales results

Ability to apply in-depth understanding of the business, how own area integrates with other segments/divisions and how iHeart differentiates itself from competitors to drive growth

Strong understanding of broadcast, marketing, promotion and collection standards

Judgement to resolve customer and employee operational problems; critical thinking skills to understand the broader impact across the organization

Leadership skills to increase performance of the sales organization

Ability to negotiate with and influence people at all levels

Active listening skills with the ability to guide and influence others to adopt a broader point of view

Positive energy and the ability to manage stress and serve as a model for others in the sales practice

Skills to successfully coach and develop sellers

Compensation:
Salary to be determined by multiple factors including but not limited to relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and alignment with market data.
