Our ideal candidate for this position will have a strong background in operating and managing a small to medium sized call center with a focus on Merchant Processing, Outbound Business to Business Lead Generating and Sales. Strong supervisory and motivation skills are a must for our production based environment.
Essential Functions
- Directly manage, coach, and mentor a team of Inside Sales Representatives to meet and/or exceed sales goals and objectives.
- Ensure team focuses on proactive sales activities, including phone calls and talk time, utilizing value and solution-based selling philosophies.
- Train and motivate team members to complete training and development programs aimed at increasing knowledge and understanding of multiple products and sales processes.
- As part of ongoing training and development, obtain expert level knowledge of company products, services, sales processes, and systems.
- Administer coaching sessions and written warnings to employees for policy and procedure violations.
- Provide a daily recap to leadership regarding activity, pending accounts, coaching, and opportunities.
- Maintain quality, production, and assigned headcount.
- Ensure every sale is confirmed and resolve customer questions regarding products and services.
- Ensure the team is provided with all materials to assist in the performance of their job duties.
- Train and evaluate the sales team daily by performing side-by-side and coaching sessions.
- Attend daily management meetings to discuss performance and innovative ways to increase overall production.
- Confer with management team to implement management approved methods and procedures to increase performance.
- Proactively provide feedback and offer suggestions regarding process improvements and updates to materials for training and ongoing development.
- Monitor the team’s daily performance by using data from system reports to help ensure goals are met.
- Prepare production reports for management meetings.
- Coordinate daily team meetings while promoting activities, such as preparing product and services topics, previous days’ performance, and execute role-playing scenarios to improve scripting.
- Prepare and keep records pertaining to action plans to ensure that action plans are followed.
- Organize, plan, and prioritize work as appropriate.
- Ensure pending accounts are corrected and feedback is given to inside sales representatives.
- Participate in any/all training and educational activities necessary to fulfill the requirements specified in the department’s goals.
- Review, prepare and submit payroll weekly for your department.
- Adhere to privacy; confidential, proprietary Company policies and procedures
Minimum Qualifications
- Knowledge of merchant and bank products/services and/or payment sales experience is preferred
- Outstanding sales, business development, and negotiating skills
- Prior success in leading a customer-centered sales team with a strong desire to exceed expectations and quotas
- High school diploma or equivalent with previous related work experience required; telesales management experience preferred
- 2+ years of phone sales experience (preferably in Merchant, Bankcard or Financial Services)
- Experience developing new business through prospecting and cold calling
- Highly motivated to succeed in a performance-driven environment
- Ability to work independently but with a team focus
- Excellent customer service and organization skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Experience in Microsoft Office applications with Excel, Word, and Outlook proficiency
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $42,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
