We are looking for a high-performing Sales Manager to drive new business at our newly opened Holiday Inn Express & Suites. The Sales Manager responsibilities include developing key growth sales strategies, tactics and action plans. The Sales Manager's duties will include hitting annual targets, building relationships, understanding customer trends, creating group blocks, and participating in revenue management alongside the General Manager and Assistant General Manager.
Responsibilities
- Own and hit/exceed annual sales targets within assigned territory and accounts
- Effectively communicate guest expectations to the front office team
- Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand our client base
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with new and existing guests
- Partner with guests to understand their business needs
- Be available on site during large group events to coordinate efforts alongside the front office team
- Understand category-specific landscapes and trends
- Skills
- Proven sales executive experience, meeting or exceeding targets
- Previous experience as a sales executive, sales manager or sales and marketing director within a hospitality environment
- Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
- Proven ability to articulate the distinct aspects of products and services
- Proven ability to position products against competitors
- Demonstrable experience as head of sales, developing client-focused, differentiated and achievable solutions
- Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- BA/BS degree or equivalent
