SUMMARY/OBJECTIVES
Provide strategic sales support to the Merchant Services Sales team in delivering products and services to clients. Focus on developing strategies to grow the bank’s Merchant Services portfolio and revenue. Proactively assist Merchant Service Representatives with implementation and activations. Serve as a liaison between the Merchant Services Representative and the Merchant Support team to prepare and assist during the full sales process. Develop a partnership with Merchant Services Representative to grow the Merchant Services Program.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Develop and maintain knowledge of Merchant Services products, services, and pricing
- Strong customer service background, excellent verbal and written communication skills, desire, and capability to troubleshoot issues and is well organized.
- Assist Merchant Services Representatives with proposals, input new account applications and complete onboarding.
- Review merchant onboarding system setup and validation activations.
- Work with Merchant Services Support Team on outstanding items requested by Merchant Services Representatives
- Assist in activations of new merchants and sending follow up emails to merchants.
- Assist compiling new account file data following the standardized procedures and internal controls.
- Troubleshoot new customers terminals via phone, with the help of Elavon Support team.
- Assists Management with Special projects and escalations as required.
- Supports Management with management reporting requirements as needed.
- Utilizes tools and resources provided by the Merchant Services Department and Elavon.
- Ability to work entirely independently as well as perform as a strong team player.
OTHER DUTIES
- Accepts other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications and Education Requirements.
- Education: Bachelors in a related field preferred
- Experience: 2 to 5 years in Banking, Credit Card or Merchant Services experience required, excellent customer service, previous troubleshooting, and problem-solving expertise, report and data analytics, excellent time management.
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Excellent Interpersonal skills, proficient MS Office Skills “knowledgeable in Excel”, ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
TRAINING REQUIREMENTS/CLASSES
Required annual compliance training. Continuing education in Payment Solution classes.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
Must be able to effectively access and interpret information on computer screens, documents, and reports.
