This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Regional Sales Manager for our western sales region.

Essential Functions:

1. Maintain and increase sales for the region through distribution and direct accounts by meeting or exceeding set goals at acceptable gross margins for each representative's territory.

  • Develop a strategic annual business plan using analytical information for the territory with input from the National Sales Manager and the Marketing Department to include trend, sales, product statistics, future growth projections, tactics and strategies with key measurement points in order to evaluate performance for all reps.

2. Develop, support and manage the rep firms for the region to achieve and exceed set
goals for individual territory growth

  • Monitor sales representatives through key performance indicators on an ongoing basis updating the management team monthly and quarterly through monthly reports.
  • Provide reps with reports that will help them excel. I.e. but not limited to, sales dollar trend reports, dashboards, and weekly order reviews.
  • Strategize successful sales calls into the territory with advance itineraries focusing on achieving predetermined goals as outlined in the regional manager handbook.
  • Ensure all action items from trips are completed in a timely manner, as necessary and entered in the CRM.
  • Incorporate into territory visits, a minimum of one successful annual rep training session per territory.
  • Provide ongoing timely and accurate information flow to all rep firms, typically within 24 to 48 hours after receipt of information.
  • Assist NSM in developing sales budgets and sales forecast for the region.

3. Provide support both at the factory and in the field for all accounts within the region.

  • Be a resource at the factory to proactively assist in the resolution of all customers “issues” following through with the appropriate Allied personnel to ensure successful completion.
  • Maintain Quotation Log with updates completed monthly.

4. Assist in the implementation and updating of all sales and marketing strategies for the region.

  • Monitor each rep firm’s attention to the Hub Spot to ensure timely and effective follow up.
  • Plan and participate at trade shows, seminars, distributor meetings and other training programs sometimes requiring weekend travel. RSM in charge to submit report within a week of returning from the tradeshow.
  • Develop knowledge of Allied and its’ competitors’ products and their application by creating a thorough market analysis for the region that identifies current and future trends and using a SWOT analysis with recommendations of a plan of action needed to be competitive, maximize our product offering, develop tactics and strategies, as well as improve our service levels.

5. Provide timely and analytical information to the National Sales Manager.

  • Return all requested reports, forecasts, budgets, market survey assignments, etc. accurately, completely, and by the date requested.

6. Train, mentor and lead by example to build constructive relationships by taking the
initiative to be a team player.

7. Other related duties as assigned.

Physical demands:

  • Light physical lifting required to move equipment and boxes in performing normal job duties.

Education/Experience:

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a related business or technical field with a minimum of five years sales experience in a related organization.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft office software, including excel, word and PowerPoint. IQMS and CRM.
  • Strong communication, analytical and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work independently.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
