The Region Sales Manager is primarily responsible for the growth and development of our portfolio across our East Coast based Grocery Retailers/Distributors/Wholesalers. He/She is also responsible for all aspects of business management; Forecasting, Pricing, Analytics, P/L management, Trade Management and retail execution. All priorities are centered on delivering accelerated growth across all retailers. The RSM will be part overseeing the Southeast (FL up to NC) working closely with his entire team on delivering profitable growth and expansion.

Responsibilities of this position include (duties/essential functions):
- Deliver sales fundamentals (distribution/assortment, shelving, pricing and merchandising) MAPS goals across all East Grocery Retailers/Wholesalers/Distributors on agreed-to retail priorities.
- Ensure all MAPS execution activities & competitive activities are executed against by our broker partners and merchandising teams.
- Consistently work retail (solo/with brokers) to have a consistent pulse on retail conditions (opportunities and challenges).
- Work cross-functionally with internal Cacique partners to build a profitable growth plan for the entire region.
- Ensure adherence to company policies are followed.
- Effectively communicate all customer and broker initiatives
- Ownership of Region P/L, reviewing on a consistent basis to address any variances. Take appropriate action steps to communicate and resolve any of those variances.
- Full partnership with Business Analytics team to evaluate trends and effects on Volume, Profit, Share. Have complete comprehension of Business Insights and communicate internally to ensure everyone understands action plans needed based on market results.
Required Experience < br / >
Required Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 5+ years retail sales execution responsibility required, preferably in consumer product goods industry.
- 3+ years direct retail sales leadership or Broker leadership experience preferred.
- Proficient MS Office Professional Suite.
- Fully versed in all aspects of Syndicated Data tools (IRI/Nielsen/Customer Specific tools)
- Effective time-management & scheduling skills, with the ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously.
- Self-motivated and ability to work independently within a large market and multitask across various sales partners with differing priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills; able to effectively communicate cross-functionally and through all levels of management. Ability to effectively convey market insights & conditions to customer and Cacique leadership.
- Willingness to Travel (20-25%)
- Must have a personal vehicle, a valid driver’s license, and excellent driving record.
