About the Role:
The Senior Sales Representative, Professional Learning (PL) works closely with sales leadership, marketing, and other resources within Wiley’s PL group to identify, nurture and win active sales opportunities. The position will see and promote The Leadership Challenge® and other PL products and services to potential clients. This role reports to the Senior Manager, Inside Sales.
How you will make an impact:
Responsible for Revenue Growth
- Achieves the total new account and new revenue goals through phone sales.
- Manages and closes new account sales
- Actively opens doors (identify contacts) to drive new sales within organizations; responsible for new-sales for and upselling current customers
- Collaborate with business development and marketing to maximize revenue
Responsible for Account and Segment Management
- Responsible for strategic account planning, Ensures alignment with product, sales and marketing to achieve revenue and account acquisition targets
Maintain and Build Relationships and Improve Customer Satisfaction
- Owns the overall PL customer relationship for assigned accounts
- Build and maintain relationships with key decision makers in- and outside accounts
- Responsible for customer loyalty and customer satisfaction
Build, Maintain, and Share In-depth Knowledge Of Customer And Segment
- Key expert on the customer: knows everything about the customer’s business, strategy and research needs, budgets, competitive products at the customer.
- Stay abreast of developments in segment (customer, industry, etc.) and share market insights/intel with WLS stakeholders.
What we look for (Required):
- Information tools sales – track record selling technology and solutions in a B2B environment (minimum of 2 years)
- BS Degree in Business or Marketing is desirable, a combination of education and experience can be substituted for formal education
- Able to build strong relationships with multiple internal and external stakeholders
- Strong communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills; fluency in English
- Self-starter
