Full description of the position

Job Summary: Responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with strategic customers in the assigned region while providing leadership, support, and guidance to a team of Sales Representatives and support personnel.


Essential Duties:

  • Develop sales strategies and techniques to increase our market share and improve the customer experience
  • Maintain and nurture existing key or strategic customer relationships to ensure those customers are satisfied with the level of sales, service and support they receive from us in order to retain/grow our business
  • Increase customer engagement, interactions, and transactions within the assigned region.
  • Prepare accurate sales forecasts leveraging our CRM system tool, the 5-4-3-2-1 Sales Process and Fleet data for each Sales Representative and for the region
  • Develop and administer accurate annual and longer-range budget/forecast plans with Director of Sales
  • Develop the skills of the sales team to ensure their professional growth, enhance customer service skills, and keep team aligned with the MacQueen Way.
  • Perform mid-year and annual performance evaluation reviews for employees that are assigned to them. This will also include employees’ budget and provide leadership to achieve personal budget.
  • Responsible for onboarding and training new sales members of teams. Work with all sales managers to achieve and expediate this process.
  • Stay current on products and technology, provide demonstrations and help develop the best solutions for customers.

o Expert knowledge of all key operating systems to include critical supplier applications, CDK, CXM, Microsoft BI and Microsoft Office.

o Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance

instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

o Continuous improvement of key sales functions in the areas of efficiency, data quality, profitability, and responsiveness.

o Ability to develop and maintain healthy relationships with key manufacturers and other suppliers we represent.

o Ability to lead and supervise employees/teams to drive performance across employee, customer and operational metrics.

    • Accountability for the branch and department’s budget and financial performance.
    • Ability to define parameters and implement procedures to enhance and maximize the long-term profitability of the sales department.

o Ensure all sales programs, internal standards, organizational processes, etc are adhered to across the region.

Essential Qualifications:

2-year technical degree in Sales, Business, or related field

Minimum 5 years sales experience with 3 years in Management

Excellent skills in communication, interpersonal, organizational and attention to detail

Proficient usage of MS Office Suite and the ability to learn new technologies quickly

Internal Applicants: High level of performance in previous roles


Desirable Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Business, or related field

Direct industry experience


ADA Requirements:

Typically sits, grasp items and performs keyboarding for frequent operation of a computer

Stand, walk, bend, reach or otherwise move about regularly

Lift, move, or otherwise transfer items up to 40 lbs occasionally, >20 lbs frequently

Occasional exposure to typical machine shop physical hazards

Travel by air or car frequently
