Hammitt is seeking an experienced and dedicated Key holder/ASM to support the store manager and team at our La Jolla retail store. We are looking for a go getter; an individual who has proven experience surpassing sales goals in the ever-changing retail environment. The key objective of this position is to develop and maintain a store and workplace atmosphere that is inclusive and welcoming for all. At the same time, have store sales goals achieved while building and supporting an incredible store team.
Your Role
Role above all else is to make each customer feel welcome and comfortable. Treat them as a guest into your home. Before speaking a word about Hammitt, always welcome each customer to the store and offer a beverage ;)
- Demonstrate exceptional team leadership by training/developing outstanding employees
- Support store manager with day to day operations
- Host parties and events at store with local influencers, charities and store activations
- Work with marketing calendar to promote special edition bags, drops and any gift with purchases and communicate and pre-sell to customers.
- Make sure your team is knowledgeable of marketing calendar in relation to product drops, collaborations, events and more
- Knowledge of our core year round best-selling collection and our 4 seasonal collections.
- Streamline processes and identify hiring and training needs
- Assist in maintaining and managing inventory
- Increase store traffic and optimize profitability
- Provide and maintain outstanding visual merchandising displays
- Form lasting relationships with new customers and maintain current customer loyalty
- Work hand in hand with team leads to develop strategic and measurable goals that are met on a weekly/monthly/yearly basis
Qualifications
Treat all customers like they are your friends welcoming them into your home. (Offer them a beverage, anything to make them feel comfortable before you talk about Hammitt).
- Minimum experience of 2 years in sales management
- Associates degree in business, marketing or related field preferred
- Shopify and Netsuite experience (not required, but a plus!)
- Ability to multi-task and successfully manage sales team
- Innovative thinker with a flair for problem-solving and an abundance of creativity
- Positive attitude! Enthusiasm for Hammitt, our customers, and selling!
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Starting at $22 per hour depending on experience plus monthly bonus.
