Job Description

Use Your Strengths as Wellmark’s Team Leader Sales Training & Enablement!

As the Team Leader of our Sales Training & Enablement team, you will drive the analysis, design, development, delivery and evaluation of effective learning and development solutions designed to support and enable a consultative sales culture. With a focus on field readiness, you will ensure that Wellmark sales leaders and staff understand and can effectively position Wellmark products, solutions, and services in the market, while also developing their consultative sales skills allowing them to recognize opportunities when they exist and negotiate them to a successful close. You will foster relationships and encourage continuous dialog with sales leadership, product, and marketing to identify gaps in sales skills, knowledge, and process, and develop solutions to address those gaps. As a leader of a multi-functional team of training consultants and technical writers, you will promote proactive collaboration with stakeholders across the organization on product, process and soft-skills development needs necessary to support Wellmark sales and retention goals and external producers/agencies. Lastly, you will ensure the design and delivery of training programs with measurable objectives – while incorporating adult learning principles and using accelerated learning techniques – and that measurement tools are in place to evaluate the impact of the training against those objectives.

Ideal candidates will have formal leadership experience, specifically a demonstrated history of building and developing teams and experience leading large-scale change. This means you understand how to navigate resistance and can influence and inspire change across individual contributors and leaders. You know sales: its lifecycle, metrics, and the tools, resources, and material the salesforce needs to successfully attract and retain customers. You are eager to assist leadership in creating a collaborative and consultative culture, while empowering your team to own their work and integrate into the business. You have a proven track record of success in corporate training and have produced creative, cutting-edge programs that engage adult learners. You thrive in an environment with ever-changing priorities. You are capable of shifting gears quickly and effectively, all the while maintaining strong planning, time management, and resource allocation skills. If this sounds like you, apply today!
