Trucking Insurance Agent

Elizabeth’s Insurance, Moreno Valley and Commerce

Employment Type: Full Time paying $25 - $30 per hour plus commission.

About You:

You are an experienced inside salesperson that is ready, willing, and able to expand the company’s book of business by selling trucking insurance policies to new and existing clients over the phone. You are a self-starter and go getter with a high degree of integrity. You have excellent communication skills both verbal and written. Your style is natural and genuine. You are bilingual and can write and speak in both English and Spanish. You are comfortable with talking to people on the phone and using a computer all day, so you are very computer literate. We assist our clients with starting their business, processing permits, IRP registration, commercial insurance, financing and more. We also invest our time and money by helping charities both local and abroad. As an independent insurance agency, we work for our clients, not one insurance company.

Our hours are Monday thru Friday either 7:30 – 4:30, 8:00 – 5:00 or 8:30 – 5:30, 9:00 – 6:00. You will l be asked to work one Saturday per month and may be asked to work occasionally during an evening. We will train the right individual.

Job Responsibilities:

• Account manager for new business
• Manage current renewal book of business
• Submit quotes to obtain the best renewal quote
• Provide prospective trucking insurers with coverage options after learning about their operations.
• Manage the prospect from initial contact through writing of a policy.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of trucking industry regulations and trends.
• Provide exceptional customer service and build long-lasting relationships with clients.
• Achieve sales goals and exceed performance metrics.
• Comply with insurance standards and regulations.
• Complete binding process for new business.
• Bind accounts within authority and/or submit bind to carrier.
• Complete certificates of insurance
• Handle telephone, email and in person requests and correspondence.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Must be computer literate, type quickly and accurately.
• Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills are required.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and a calculator.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Professional demeanor and positive attitude
• Must be bilingual and write and speak in both English and Spanish.

Experience Requirements:

• 3 or more years in sales
• 3 or more years of insurance experience specifically working with trucking and transportation accounts.
• Demonstrated success in achieving sales goals
• Property and Casualty license is required.
• Must be abler to write and speak both in English and Spanish

Wages and Compensation:

We offer competitive wages between $25 - $30 plus commission, depending on experience. We offer the following benefits: Health, dental and vision benefits. 401K with a 3% match regardless of contribution. 5 days paid vacation. Holiday & Sick pay. Bonuses for a job well done when numbers are met.
