Route Sales Representative – Buffalo Area

We are looking for an energetic, reliable, self-starter who wants to be in control of their compensation and work independently each day. Is this you?

Duties:

• Deliver product orders timely, accurately and in good condition; achieve route budget sales goals and financial objectives.
• Develop new customer relationships and grow book of business through new sales activity in designated route sales geography.
• Provide outstanding service and support to our customers; develop and maintain effective customer relationships with key personnel at given book of business locations.
• Deepen existing customer relationships through effective product cross selling efforts; assist with efforts to maintain profit margins.
• Reconcile daily sales payments, manage account receivables to ensure customers stay within assigned credit terms, and manage customer purchases to eliminate stale accounts.
• Maintain assigned vehicle in a manner consistent with department of transportation and company requirements.

Qualifications:

• Clean driving record: privilege to drive in NYS is intact.
• No physical limitations to lifting 25 lbs. or driving far distances or lengths of time
• Strong work ethic and sales skills; trustworthy and reliable
• Previous experience in restaurant/hospitality industry a plus
• Strong math skills
• Must be able to work under minimal supervision, self-starter and self-motivated
• Willing to work additional hours as needed to support customer service
• Superior customer communication and excellent product knowledge
• Ability to work with co-workers and maintain good working relationships
• Able to prioritize tasks effectively
