Full description of the position

Are you an experienced sales professional with a passion for leadership and driving growth? Our client, a leading distributor of industrial and safety supplies, is seeking a talented and motivated Supervisor of Sales to join their team.

As a Sales Supervisor, you will have the opportunity to lead a team of outside sales representatives, coach and mentor them, while also growing and expanding the territory. If you have a strategic mindset, excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills, and a proven track record in B2B sales, this is the perfect opportunity to build a first-class sales team and drive success.

Supervisor of Sales Job Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of 2-3 outside sales representatives, providing coaching, guidance, and support to help them achieve their sales targets and personal development goals.
  • Engage with the top 25 accounts of the outside sales representatives, ensuring strong relationships are maintained and growth opportunities are explored.
  • Develop and execute strategies to grow the local territory, focusing on 80 strategic accounts and expanding the out-account list.
  • Collaborate closely with vendors and internal departments, such as National Accounts, Operations, Marketing, and Regional Specialists, to drive overall sales and customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct regular ride-alongs or workdays with each outside sales representative to provide hands-on coaching and identify areas for improvement.
  • Utilize a strategic mindset to identify new business opportunities, negotiate contracts, and drive revenue growth.
  • Demonstrate exceptional written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with customers, team members, and stakeholders.
  • Maintain a high level of organization, ensuring accurate documentation, reporting, and record-keeping.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably from a competitor within the industry.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving growth.
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key accounts.
  • High proficiency in written and verbal communication, able to communicate at a professional level.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, with a passion for coaching and developing a sales team.
  • Money-motivated and results-driven, with a focus on exceeding targets and driving success.
