As the Business Controls Executive Director, you will maintain a strong and consistent control environment by leading the engagement and strategy between the Collections, Recovery and Auto Operations business and all internal and external Auditing entities. You will plan and lead readiness activities to ensure these units are prepared for internal audits, compliance testing and regulatory exams.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage and develop a team of senior managers and exempt level employees
- Lead, manage and coordinate Audit and Regulatory engagements
- Develop and execute test plans to assess the control environment in advance of Audits & Exams
- Provide guidance to business partners on the content and structure of Audit and Regulatory responses
- Assess resource needs and develop capacity plans to ensure appropriate staffing
- Monitor and direct favorable results on controls score cards
Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills
- 10+ years’ experience in business controls or a related position, including experience with risk management, control management, compliance, audit, or operational risk at a large financial industry
- A Bachelor’s degree, MBA preferred
- Ability to manage, lead and influence a team across cultures and the ability to operate effectively across diverse business lines including matrix leadership with external partners
- Working knowledge of Consumer protection laws and related Office of the Comptroller of the Currency/Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (OCC/CFPB) rules and regulations
- Ability to perform data mining and analysis, analyze metrics for emerging risks
- Strong communication skills to articulate complex problems and solutions through concise and clear messaging, including development of persuasive and consequential executive presentations
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications, including Excel and PowerPoint

- Working knowledge of Issue Management and Customer Correction practices
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and lead a team who delivers high quality results that meet expectations in an evolving environment
