Full description of the position

The Opportunity

Delaware North Parks and Resorts is hiring a full-time Sales Coordinator to join our team at The Westin Buffalo in Buffalo, New York. As a Sales Coordinator, you will partner with clients, guests, and our food and beverage teams to create and execute events for our guests at The Westin Buffalo.

Responsibilities

  • Review guest event requests and requirements and determine the next steps to take.
  • Work with the Sales Manager to create long-term planning and execution of event arrangements.
  • Partner with the food and beverage department at the property to organize the catering needs of events.
  • Coordinate and host event rehearsals; ensure effective communication between all relevant departments at the property.
  • Conduct a pre-and post-event briefing to ensure all departments understand the standards of the event.
  • All other duties assigned.

Qualifications

  • Between 1 to 3 years’ experience in hospitality, sales or related field preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products including Word and Excel.
  • Outstanding interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of property management and reservation systems preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, and kneel.
  • Ability to lift, balance, and move up to 35 lbs.
