DJA is a nationwide ornamental/architectural steel and gate hardware distributor based in the Northeast Bronx, near the Westchester border cities of Pelham and New Rochelle, easily accessible by car or mass transit.
In business for over 30 years, and as part of our ongoing, continued growth, we are actively seeking an Inside Sales person, with experience in a similar product related field.
In this role, you will sell ornamental/architectural metal, gate hardware, related fabrication products to wholesale and retail customers. You will have direct client contact, will work closely with management and marketing team. Standard business hours are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.
The ideal, motivated candidate will be responsible for recommending and selling company products through phone, email, ecommerce, and face-to-face counter sales.
- Candidate will establish and develop relationships with current and potential clients
- They will determine customer's needs, recommend appropriate products and solutions, provide relevant product information, while maintaining excellent and consistent customer service.
- They will quote and handle order execution from acceptance to completion
- Complete documents supporting any transaction, accept and process payments, schedule shipping, coordinate customer pick-ups with warehouse staff, follow-up with clients as needed, other duties as assigned.
Qualifications include but are not limited to :
- must have a minimum of 2 years experience selling comparable products to retail or wholesale clients
- must be a motivated, self- starter with a can-do attitude
- bilingual a plus
- must demonstrate maturity in judgement, commitment, dependability, punctuality and adherence to agreed-upon schedule as determined by management
- proficient computer skills using Quickbooks, and Microsoft Office Suite a plus
- able to multi-task, detail and service oriented, exceptional communication skills, problem solver, creative thinker
- once trained the ability to work independently
- while performing the duties of this job, among other things, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, go up/down stairs
