Full description of the position

“I can succeed as an IT Learning & Development Senior Manager at Capital Group.”
As an experienced and strategic learning and development senior leader, you will lead learning and development for Capital Group IT and Enterprise Data office (EDO) associates. By partnering with the IT/EDO leadership team, you will play a crucial role in driving the learning strategy to lead development initiatives in support of Capital Group’s technology and data business objectives including current/future skill needs, driving technical excellence and skills specialization. In this role, you will foster a culture of continuous learning, professional growth, and skill-building for our associates. You will be responsible for measuring the learning outcomes and making necessary adjustments for continuous improvement.
You will lead the learning and development team, provide coaching and development to team members, manage day-to-day training operations, create an engaging team culture, and ensure a high-performing team. You are skilled at partnering with vendor organizations and managing relationships with external training providers to deliver training and provide best-of-breed content/resources. Additionally, you will oversee the learning and development annual budget, drive efficiencies, and adjust priorities as needed.

  • You are a proven Leader with experience creating, driving, and implementing Learning and Development strategies, policies, and processes to enhance our people capabilities.
  • You are an expert in adult learning methodologies, e-learning, blended learning and distance learning, and understand how L&D and technology are continually evolving.
  • You have a passion for learning and development with expert knowledge of performance consulting, career development, and experience with developing technology and data skills.
  • You have demonstrated success in communicating a vision, influencing senior leaders, leading and managing projects, and driving results.
  • You are a strong cross-functional and team leader who drives excellence; develops, mentors and coaches others, and can create excitement around a compelling vision in a collaborative, team-oriented fashion
  • You are passionate about staying up to date on industry trends, advancements and best practices in learning and development, and incorporate them into L&D strategy.
  • You are well versed and have strong working knowledge of IT technology and methodology.
  • You have expertise in turning knowledge into strategy, articulating that strategy effectively across the organization and executing measurable results
  • You are a strong communicator across diverse populations of associates and have a proven ability to influence senior stakeholders.
  • You pride yourself on your ability to cut through complexity and ambiguity, prioritize effectively, set clear goals and operate in an agile fashion
Southern California Base Salary Range: $145,581-$247,488
San Antonio Base Salary Range: $131,107-$222,882
New York Base Salary Range: $154,337-$262,373
Indianapolis Base Salary Range: $133,408-$226,794
In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital’s annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
