POSITION SUMMARY
The primary role of the Field Applications Engineer is to travel to our clients and help them solve technical problems that are inherent with the systems operation of our power supply products within the territory. In addition, Field Applications Engineers will collaborate with technical engineers on new designs to develop and advance new business opportunities. Field Applications Engineers will also work with sales team members and manufacturer’s representatives to ensure successful sales conversions.

PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES
- Review customers' technical needs and recommends specific power supply product solutions to meet these needs
- Perform proactive engineering visits to ensure client is following power supply installation best practices
- Consistently troubleshoot system applications on clients’ request, resolving other engineering issues regarding systems application, and perform follow up on the effectiveness of proposed
- Identify new project opportunities when visiting and communicating with clients’ engineering teams
- Effectively collaborate with the sales team, engineers, and our partner’s product managers to obtain accurate information of application usage and system operations of TRC’s power solutions
- Provide clients and TRC team members with accurate technical information
- Technically develop and advance new business opportunities
- Build impactful relationships with TRC’s clients’ engineering teams
- Support marketing with technical content which includes but it not limited to application related stories
- Prepare technical elements of proposals and presentations
- Formulate the intricacies involved in defining the technical solution guidelines for sales team support to maximize opportunity wins

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience of hands-on design, troubleshooting and integration of analog circuits and power electronics in an engineering role
- Experience that demonstrates complete understanding of power supply applications and integration in various electronic systems
- Knowledge of global safety and compliance regulations for power supplies and peripheral equipment
- Capable of training complex technical material and articulating it to non-technical people
- Experience working with team members across multiple levels
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Position will require travel: Up to 50%
- Requires ability to occasionally lift up to 25lbs
