ACCOUNT MANAGER/SALES ENGINEER OPPORTUNITY
TEC Building Systems, Inc. has been engineering, installing, and servicing Automatic Control Systems since its inception in 1981.
T.E.C. Building Systems, LLC. (TEC) is one of the largest independent controls companies with offices in New York City, Boston, and Tampa. TEC specializes in large complex controls and integration systems. TEC installs, integrates systems, and services building automation systems. TEC can provide simple HVAC control solution to large complex integrated Building systems. TEC is looking for motivated individuals for our Boston Operations to meet the needs of our ever-expanding customer portfolio.
What T.E.C. Does
- Design and implementation of DDC controls, programming, logic, and control sequences primarily for HVAC mechanical equipment
- Creation of specialized graphical user interface tools for customer control
- Integrate 3rd party Building systems to create a comprehensive whole building solution.
We have an Account Manager/Sales engineer job openings at our Boston location. The proper candidate will possess good analytical, business, and communication skills. They should also be a team-oriented individual who enjoys interacting with customers and is eager to continue developing his/her skillset.

SALES ENGINEER
The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated, driven, and competitive individual that understands developing long term relationships by solving client’s problems and establishing trust are key to success.
This individual will possess a minimum of 5 years sales experience in building automation contracting, electrical contracting, or mechanical contracting. This is an opportunity to rethink how Building Automation and Integration is delivered in New England and be instrumental in developing the business. We are looking for candidates that can grow into larger roles as our business grows. This includes both local, regional, and national opportunities.
Responsibilities include:
· Develop a strategic plan to target key opportunities and accounts that will result in achieving sales goals and improving specification position. The strategy must be both quantitative and qualitative where the plan of action leads to revenue growth.
· Responsibility for implementation of the strategy and increasing TEC Building Systems penetration at the engineering, owner, and contractor level.
· Close sales while finding winning solutions for TEC Systems and their customers
· Develop and manage a pipeline of business designed to exceed sales goals
· Work with estimating team to develop and present proposals for new opportunities.
· Develop a strong understanding of system design, plan reading, component applications, project design cycle, competitive products, competitive selling points, and technical verbiage.
· Build relationships with influencers and decision makers at the highest levels of each account to maximize sales and specification potential on all opportunities.
· Excellent presentations, verbal, and written skills.
Qualifications
Required
· Highly organized and excellent time management skills
· Excellent verbal and written skills,
· Proven Track record of meeting and exceeding sales goals
· Self-starter comfortable self-directing workload
· Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel required
· Great interpersonal skills to create positive internal and external relationships
· Minimum 5 years’ experience in outside sales related to construction or mechanical products
· Knowledge of controls, automation, temperature, systems/equipment and/or pumps with the ability to read and interpret HVAC system design plans is highly desired
· Must have a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and present a professional image.
· Very strong problem solving skills
· Team player that is competitive, flexible, and self-motivated
Preferred
· College graduate with degree in engineering or business
· Experience in Boston Massachusetts Marketplace
