Job Summary
The Inside Sales Department is responsible for managing the company’s pipeline of deals regardless of the source – salesman; cold-call; trade show; repeat business, etc. - all deals are managed by the department to ensure each receives the efficient, industry leading customer experience our clients expect. This is done through the creation of quotes and contracts, preparation of machine specs and information, and negotiation on pricing and availability. All of this communication is stored within a centralized CRM system with the intent of keeping track of where we stand on each deal, and what needs to be done next. A summary of this information is reported weekly to management.
As a deal progresses through each stage, the Inside Sales Department is responsible for coordinating several internal and external stakeholders, ensuring all the relevant information they need to close the deal is provided in a timely manner.
The department is also responsible for generating sales by marketing equipment through alternative sales channels, such as listing equipment for auction, working with Marketing to promote campaigns inside and outside the territory, developing distributor partnerships, etc. Therefore, the Manager will use industry experience and connections to closely monitor customer needs, competitor activity, rental fleet usage, age, hours, etc. in an effort to understand industry trends and identify units to prioritize for sale.
