Director of Sales

SUMMARY*
The Director of Sales will be responsible for leading and managing sales and account success teams focused on acquiring, growing and retaining Company’s healthcare waste and compliance services in Regulated Medical Waste and CORE programs. The focus will be on acquiring and developing lasting business relationships with small to mid-sized healthcare customers and expanding our service offering to those accounts by utilizing as many as possible products and services offered by Trilogy.
The Director of Sales will be responsible for execution: planning, coordinating, directing, and supporting the sales team delivering revenue targets with small/mid-sized customers. These functions include all aspect of sales: recruiting talent, process management, developing a productive sales culture, quota and commission achievement, expense and revenue optimization, and onboarding, while maintaining a healthy sales culture.

PRIMARY JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES*
Sales Strategy:
- Develop and implement sales plan to identify, pursue, and earn business from targeted customers within defined territories.
- Provide proposals and options that differentiate our services from our competition and that add value to our service offerings.
- Work closely with Operations to come up with sales strategies and define ideal target areas for their respective service regions that yield maximum margin potential.
- Drive profitable new business utilizing financial and operational analysis to support pricing and target segmentation.

Sales Operations:*
- Actively pursue new business opportunities with small/medium sized generators of biohazardous, pharmaceutical and hazardous waste, as well as confidential document destruction and special waste. This includes selling the platform and applications of Birds Eye Technologies. Must manage in a way to achieve sales goals.
- Efficiently generate and follow-up on leads and proposals which convert into new business
- Schedule and follow-up with customer visits/meetings in an organized manner to achieve maximum results and expand the range or scope of services provided.
- Find and develop opportunities to work within industry groups and other networking organizations to increase customer growth opportunities.
- Work closely with Customer Service Representatives to assist in managing customer needs and expectations.

Talent Management:*
- Recruit sales talent to maximize results and standardize the sales onboarding and training process including rules of engagement, communication protocols, closing tools, and best practices.
- Provide coaching and assistance to Sales Representatives on an ongoing basis
- Develop and provide analytics and tracking to manage performance of the sales team and provide visibility to the leadership.
- Administer Sales incentive programs, reporting performance and communications to drive success.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS*
- Education equivalent to bachelor’s degree
- 7+ years of direct sales experience, demonstrating the ability to manage internal and external customer relationships
- 5+ years of managerial experience
- Proficient skills in Microsoft Suite and data analytics
- Ability to communicate effectively with management and other departments
- Superior problem-solving and data analysis skills
- Strong understanding of business goals and standards for customer service
- Thought leader that manages in a manner that achieves outstanding business results
- Demonstrates sound knowledge and understand of basic P&L, revenue, assets, budgets (capital and annual), number of accounts, etc.

- Able to work an agreed upon standard schedule
- Additional hours as job duties demand

TRAVEL-OTHER*
- Travel to domestic Trilogy facilities and customer sites when necessary
- Travel to domestic customer locations when necessary
- Must have a current, valid driver's license
- Able to be insurable under our company's liability insurance policy
