- 10+ years of technology related sales or business development experience
- 7+ years of direct field experience selling software or cloud solutions to the Fortune 1000

Key job responsibilities
As an Enterprise Sales Representative within our Healthcare & Life Sciences Vertical, you will have the exciting opportunity to help drive the growth and shape the future of an emerging technology in our HCLS Enterprise Vertical segment. You will be at the heart of the latest sub-industry trends like genomics, biopharma, drug discovery, and medical devices. We are seeking candidates that are passionate and knowledgeable on Life Sciences, Diagnostics, Healthcare, and possess natural qualities of a self-starter and leader. This is a fast-paced, often ambiguous environment, we execute against ambitious goals, and consistently embrace the Amazon Culture. We work backwards from our customers, focusing on their use cases and defining how our broad set of technology solutions can help them. Planning for market adoption, setting vision and strategy for your account team, and pivoting on emerging market trends are all things you will do on a daily basis. You will help to identify where our products need to go next to better serve our customers. You will help drive revenue, adoption, and market penetration in your accounts. As part of the AWS Sales team, you will have the opportunity to work alongside a motivated team that values and encourages diversified perspectives and ideas to best equip customers with the most innovative and comprehensive solutions.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Drive revenue and market share in a defined Healthcare territory
- Meet or exceed quarterly revenue targets
- Develop and execute against a comprehensive account/territory plan
- Create & articulate compelling value propositions around AWS services
- Accelerate customer adoption
- Maintain a robust sales pipeline
- Work with partners to extend reach & drive adoption
- Manage contract negotiations
- Develop long-term strategic relationships with key accounts
- Ensure customer satisfaction
- Expect moderate travel

- Experience in identifying, developing, negotiating, and closing large-scale technology deals within the Healthcare vertical
- Experience in positioning and selling technology in new customers and new market segments
- Experience in proactively growing customer relationships within an account while expanding their understanding of the customers business
- Experience communicating with senior executive leadership
- Experience leading an internal cross-functional account team
- A technical background in engineering, computer science, or MIS a plus
- Track record of developing sustainable new business
- Extensive customer network
- Strong verbal and written communications skills
