- design and integration of packaging lines and warehouse systems

The Position:
We are looking for a full-time business-to-business Account Manager Assistant to join our Claremont, CA office. Must have excellent communication skills and attention to detail. Be solution driven and work well independently and as part of team.

The Location:
We are located in Claremont, CA. Our city is known for its charming tree-lined streets, quaint downtown Village, and the local Claremont Colleges.
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
Job Brief:
As the Account Manager Assistant, you’ll be responsible for supporting our account managers in all aspects of their role, including:
- managing customer accounts,
- preparing quotes and proposals,
- and providing exceptional customer service.
As part of your role, you will be:
- responding to customer inquiries about products and services,
- handling orders, assisting with projects, and ensuring timely processing,
- and collaborating closely with vendors and customers.
Responsibilities:
- Service existing accounts and establish new accounts
- Request and prepare quotations
- Contact suppliers and manufacturers
- Enter and process orders without errors
- Schedule order deliveries via LTL, UPS, etc.
- Answer telephone calls and assist customers
- Respond to customer inquiries and resolve complaints
- Assist with sales and marketing activities
- Other duties as assigned or needed
Requirements
- Associate’s degree (minimum) or bachelor's degree (preferred)
- Proficient computer skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.)
- 1-2 years of experience in customer service or sales support, preferred
- Industrial, packaging, material-handling or warehouse background, preferred
- Must be able to lift, carry, or otherwise move objects weighing up to 20 pounds
Required Soft Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail oriented with strong organizational and follow-through skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Mathematical skills - calculate markups, discounts, unit conversions, etc.
- Ability to work independently
- Professional phone manner
