As a Customer Service & Counter Sales person, this position actively participates in day to day customer service for our fast-paced welding, industrial and specialty gas business with CK Supply, Inc. This individual will handle all aspects of the customer experience, including over the phone, in person and via email communication to ensure a high level of satisfaction and provide technical know-how. The daily activities of this role requires the individual to represent all of the company's products and services within the Welding, Gas and Specialty Gas industry. This position will need to stay current on industry trends, regulations, guidelines and compliance to assist the customer with product knowledge and assist them with product selection.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

As a key member of the Customer Service team this individual will make a difference by:

• Engage with a wide variety of customer requests while thinking on your feet, troubleshooting, resolving conflicts and exceed expectations for everything the company has to offer. Will also provide solutions for customers requirements in the industrial as well as the specialty gas fields.
• Be an expert at everything CK offers (don't worry we will train you) and need to be comfortable asking questions, answering questions and providing creative solutions on the spot.
• Be organized, able to perform effectively under stress, have a positive and professional attitude, not scared to work late, show up early, wear multiple hats and go above and beyond. Troubleshooting over the phone is a very common daily task.
• Be responsible for promoting and encouraging safety, while coordinating with sales and operations departments, for the distribution of products for CK Supply. Positive professional attitude and appearance adhering to high standards of excellence.
• Exercise sound judgement and business acumen to make decisions that will improve results and hit goals within the company.
• Maintain company polices and industry mandated regulations.
• Communicate with the customer's Account Manager's to coordinate pricing and to discuss leads and quotes.
• Ensure merchandise in the showroom is organized and clean.
• Other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS/ REQUIREMENTS

• High School Diploma or Equivalent, Required
• 5 years of customer service experience in same or similar industry. Experience within the welding and specialty gas environment is a plus.
• Ability to learn and use computer software programs fast and accurately.
• Ability to stoop, twist, bend, kneel, and lift merchandise/equipment up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to read, count and write to accurately complete paperwork.
• Ability to use a cash register and provide correct change.
• Experience in quality control, strong math background, analytical or ability to communicate standards and attention to detail is a must.
