Landscape Designer

McFarlin Stanford is a fast-growing, locally owned and operated landscape design and maintenance/construction company in Memphis, TN. We are looking for an experienced Landscape Designer to join our team and help us grow.

Job Description:

• Create design plans for landscape projects based on client needs and preferences
• Prepare design proposals to be submitted to clients for approval
• Prepare field measurements and plot the location of plants to be planted
• Prepare planting material, shrubs, trees, and other landscape items needed for installation
• Prepare planting material, shrubs, trees, and other landscape items needed for installation
• Prepare installation plans for both large-scale projects and smaller installations at home or office
• Prepare installation instructions for clients as well as installers to be on site to prepare plants for installation
• Assist with plant selection based on the landscape design plan
• Assist with maintenance of existing landscapes (cleaning, pruning, etc.)and tree care (e.g., removal of trash and yard waste)
• Assist with maintaining landscaping by taking care of the plants themselves (planting, watering, pruning, etc.), as well as maintaining safety and sanitary conditions in the grounds.
• Other duties as assigned by manager or owner.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in landscape design or construction preferred; college degree is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year

• Bachelor's (Required)

Experience:

• Sketchup: 2 years (Preferred)
• AutoCAD: 2 years (Preferred)
• Landscape Design/Sales: 2 years (Required)

Work Location: In person
