Job Summary:
As Product Manager for TSI’s growing medical device business, you will be responsible for spearheading product and market development efforts as well as supporting product design from inception through the commercialization process. You will partner with engineers, surgeons, and numerous internal/external stakeholders to develop and commercialize products that meet the needs of TSI’s customers.
As a primary business stakeholder, you will manage products in several stages of development - existing portfolio, near-term launch, pending FDA clearance as well as new products. You will be involved in the marketing management and business development process, associated marketing/promotion, technique, and sales training as well as product launch initiatives, all with defined revenue goals in mind. You will develop business plans focusing on short and long-range objectives in the optimization of both market share and profitability of existing and new products. You will conduct market research to identify/track market trends, produce competitive analysis/materials to compare the competitive landscape. You are motivated and ready to immerse yourself in this role to become the go-to, subject matter expert.
Duties/Essential Job Functions:
- Downstream product responsibility: Define strategic marketing campaigns and support development of product support materials
- Upstream product responsibility: Identify user unmet needs, use cases and market trends as inputs to product design solutions
- Act as a liaison for collaboration across functional teams to identify and drive towards product development milestones
- Align solutions across key stakeholders by defining and validating market requirements
- Provide direct technical support to the sales organization in key surgeon accounts and assist in meeting sales objectives
- Produce competitive analysis materials and product forecasts following emerging market trends
- Create strategies for optimizing product pricing, positioning, promotional campaigns, and sales channels
- Keep a strong pulse on the market by attending trade shows, surgeries, and labs
- Demonstrate strong presentation and training skills to key internal and external stakeholders
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
- 2+ years related experience, preferably in the medical device or orthopedic device industry
- Strong business sense and the ability to deliver results
- Effective communication skills with strong confidence to present before groups of customers, vendors, peers, and leadership
- Ability to work under pressure
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task within a cross functional team
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 25% of the time
- Willingness to be in a cadaver lab and/or operating room environment throughout the product lifecycle to assess potential product design iterations
- Ability to lift or be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing and/or Engineering (science, medical technology) or related field
- 3-5+ years related experience in Product Marketing/Management, and/or medical device sales
- Effective communication skills with strong confidence to present before groups of customers, vendors, peers, and leadership
- Ability to work under pressure
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 25% of the time
- Willingness to be in a cadaver lab and/or operating room environment throughout the product lifecycle to assess potential product design iterations
- Ability to lift or able to lift up to 25 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3-5+ year professional experience in medical device industry
- Experience with capital equipment sales processes within the healthcare industry

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
