The Director, Corporate Sales leads sales and execution of the End Customers’ Enterprise nationwide sales in Brother’s Business Machines Group (BMG). This role is accountable for a $60M+ revenue budget, generated in collaboration with the Channel Partners in verticals such as retail, transportation, finance, and others. In addition, the Director has the responsibility to develop whitespace accounts, and acquire new logos within those verticals.
The Director leads a cross-functional team of sales professionals, subject matter and solutions experts, with the responsibility to continuously coach and train for improvement and growth.
This role is field-based with a travel expectation of up to 60%.

Duties and Responsibilities

Sales Leadership and Team Management
- Train, mentor, and coach the team to perform consultative sales and elevate/enhance the solutions selling skills, showcasing Brother as the experts in Device & Solutions Management with superior Total Cost of Ownership
- Guide the team on how to evolve in order to be viewed as strong, value-added resources for Channel and Distribution Sales Teams
- Perform in-depth and consistent Business Reviews with customers and within Brother to ensure fluid communications, foster collaborative ways of working, and address business needs in a timely manner
- Influence others through communication and collaboration
- Motivate the team and peers, serving as a positive leader, and demonstrating critical thinking, problem solving, and functional support skills.
Account Management and Business Development
- Grow Corporate Enterprise sales using channel and market intelligence data and various sources of sales analytics information to identify size and scope of business opportunities within the assigned territories, channels, and verticals
- Oversee all team selling and customer engagement activities; support & mentor the team, including traveling to visit customers and partners
- Promote and maintain a healthy pipeline of sales opportunities (3-4x of potential revenue)
- Share insights and collaborate with the Product Marketing & Solutions teams to support future end customers’ strategies
- Analyze business trends to be fluent in customer product and services consumption habits and purchasing behaviors, on national and regional levels, in order to maintain effective, ongoing strategy development
- Stay current on industry news and changes as well as competitive models and features
- Track actual performance against management expectations and modify strategies, territories, programs, and/ or any customer incentive plans in response
- Participate in relevant market events, including but not limited to: Trade Shows, technology seminars, and association meetings
Reporting, Budgeting, & Forecasting
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports for various internal stakeholder groups
- Prepare and deliver sales presentations for various regional and global meetings
- Ensure the sales team is logging and maintaining all sales calls, customer information, and relevant details in Salesforce and other CRM platforms with prescribed relevant activity
- Lead team to manage product forecasting & supply chain activity and use internal software tools for reporting

Qualifications

Education
- Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience) in business, marketing, or related field
Experience
- 10+ years combined relevant experience spanning:
- Managing national sales functions, across multiple geographies and markets
- Developing and executing robust sales strategies
- Meeting and exceeding multi-million dollar sales quotas
- Leading and managing a cross-functional team, from hybrid office and remote locations
Software/Technical Skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Knowledge of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) System (Salesforce preferred)
Other Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Demonstrated ability to exceed sales targets, having a sales hunter mindset
- Time management and future planning skills
- Executive presence
- Strong negotiation / influence skills
- Strong communication skills (written/verbal/interpersonal) and ability to build relationships internally and externally
- Strong ability to deliver effective presentations at the executive level
- Ability to lead, develop, motivate, and mentor others

- The salary (or hiring) range for this position is $125,000 - $145,000 per year
- Starting salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location, and alignment with market data
- This position is eligible to participate in the relevant Brother variable pay incentive plan(s). Applicable bonus awards are discretionary and contingent upon 1) achievement of your individual objectives and 2) Brother achieving its corporate and business-level objectives
