Full description of the position

Sales Director

Andover Brands a leading Housewares company is recruiting for a sales executive to join our team of leaders.

We are seeking an innovative and knowledgeable sales executive who can develop and execute successful sales strategies. They are a strong leader who can empower others as well as hold them accountable to achieve expected results.

This executive level will be responsible for leading all sales activities, ensuring achievement of annual sales results and taking ownership of business development activities to achieve sales growth. Responsibilities include strategy, planning, sales forecasting, and execution of all sales efforts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reports to Vice President of Sales & Marketing
  • Ongoing revenue forecasting and business planning
  • Actively lead, coach, and develop sales personnel to meet brand sales goals.
  • Implement sales goals and strategies outside rep groups and internal sales personnel.
  • Develop plans to capture new business and obtain growth.
  • Fully know market landscape – competitors, retail channels, consumer mindset, trends, opportunities, category price points
  • Direct all tradeshow plans.
  • Oversee budget – sales revenue, expense structure, margins, accountability to P&L
  • Develop customer programs and incentives.
  • Work in partnership w/ marketing for necessary tools, collateral, and campaign planning
  • Work with product team on reorders, planning buys, understanding demand by category and item.
  • Must be able to manage in person and remote teams.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years selling experience in CPG company, focused on B2B.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience leading a sales team, with proven revenue growth.
  • Prior success in building strong team, with track record of recruiting & retaining sales personnel.
  • Strong intrapersonal skills
  • Experience with CRM/ERP systems, specifically NetSuite is preferred but not required.
