About the Role
Pre-Sales Consultants are seasoned outside sales professionals with a strong desire for Customer relationship building. The Pre-Sales professional has experience building and managing all aspects of the related pre-sales cycle. The Pre-Sales Consultant is actively involved with the sales team and channel partners to help them sign net new Customers and upsell additional new business to existing Customers. The daily focus will include preparation for and execution of solutions presentations, demonstrations, webinars, discovery calls, discovery face-to-face meetings and sales strategy messaging of CBX Enterprise applications to Prospects, Customers, Consultants, Analysts and Trade Professionals. Post-sales responsibilities would include supporting the initial project kick-off activities and transitioning of the Customer to the assigned Professional Services Organization team. Finally, as a contributing team leader, the Pre-Sales Consultant will also spend time submitting product enhancements and UI improvements that create new product ideas and innovation.
Pre-Sales Consultants must be quick on their feet, excel in having online conversations, as well as owning a room of twenty or more buyer stakeholders at in person meetings, master the sales stack, and be ecosystem thought leaders. The right person for this role has a proven track record leading an organization in building very strong relationships with field sales interactions and with channel partners, selling and supporting enterprise technology solutions, SaaS solutions, and driving Customer satisfaction / and Customer delight all while driving a collaborative, competitive team atmosphere and maintaining a positive, winning team environment.
As a future member of a highly collaborative team, the Pre-Sales Consultant will see themselves not only as being coachable and open to constructive workshops but just as important, vocally contributing to setting the vision and strategy that will be critical to long-term success, as well as delivering on the tactical milestones to achieve these long-term goals. The right Team Member in this role will be an important individual contributor and a leader and driver of the CBX Enterprise and TradeBeyond product suite growth by continuously improving the quality of conversations with prospects and Customers and Teammates.
More specifically to day-to-day responsibilities, the following descriptions can be applied:
Commercial Account management.
Work from the Company office or remotely daily during normal agreed office hours.
Review, clarify and document business requirement details with clients subject matter experts.
Work with client to specify detailed workflows on current as-is and provide best practice input in the definition of proposed to-be process(s).
Supporting worldwide sales activities, by building out data within the CBX demonstration environment.
Understanding the CBX Enterprise applications and the roles that our solution caters to for major worldwide retailers (design, product development, sourcing, quality, finance, logistics, etc.) in order to build out creative, relatable, comprehensive and eye-catching demonstration data.
Configuration and set up of products, sourcing records, quality inspections, purchase orders, logistics and finance documents, etc.
Light configuration of certain areas of the application under the direction of the Solutions team.
Prioritizing and managing the needs of the Solutions team by building out/configuring new demonstration environments while also assisting with time sensitive, prospective new Customers specific sales requirements.
Collaborate with the all teams to manage and deliver the written and digital responses to Request for Proposal and Request for Information as they are received from potential new clients.
Collaborate with the sales team to develop and execute plans for specific sales presentations.
Prepare for and conduct detailed, step by step demonstrations for potential new and existing Customers, demonstrating the capabilities of the CBX Enterprise suite.
Prepare for and conduct conference room pilots for clients, demonstrating the capabilities of the CBX Enterprise suite.
Liaise and support the CBX Software technical/implementation team(s) on configuration/customization of the CBX Enterprise suite.
Work closely with the marketing team to execute targeted campaigns; provide feedback to marketing on effectiveness.
Work closely with the executive sales team, setting meetings with prospects and assisting with meeting follow up and sales life cycle and buy cycle follow up.
Manage daily sales efforts to hit goals; accountable for meeting / exceeding monthly / quarterly and annual goals.
Attend and support outside trade events as needed.
Focus on target account lists provided by the team and technology partners.
Develop and deliver progress reports, pipeline reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations to management for continuous improvement.

Strong in understanding and documenting business system requirements as well as functional workflow requirements.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Spanish, German, French and or Chinese communication skills are a plus.
BA/BS degree preferred.
5+ years inside sales and outside sales for enterprise software company (PLM, Procurement, ERP, Supply Chain software experience is a plus).
Experience selling a software, SaaS and or technology solution.
Innovative, strong leader with a strategic mindset, knows how to execute and achieve results.
Knowledge of any of the following industry sectors a plus: retail, cpg, private label product development and global retail supply chain.
Understanding or experience of retail merchandising / sourcing is a plus.
Proven pipeline development for lead qualification and effective buy-cycle management to conversion.

Territory Expectations
The Pre-Sales Consultant will report to the Sr. Vice President of Americas and will be a full-time employee. The Pre-Sales Consultant will work closely with the entire Sales team on sales activity throughout the Americas region and from time to time be called upon to assist additional sales personnel throughout the world including but not limited to Europe and Asia. The Pre-Sales Consultant will office from the CBX Software offices in San Diego CA or a remote office and should expect up to 50% travel.
