We are a small business based in Austin, Texas. This position is very interactive, fun, and genuinely exciting! We would like to think what we do is pretty cool! We produce high-quality acrylic art posters to sell at comic con and anime conventions throughout North America. We are looking for an extroverted, knowledgeable, hard-working sales manager to provide high-class service to attendees at various conventions, events, and functions.

The ideal Salesperson will:

• Have a passport or the ability to obtain one to travel to Canada.
• Have knowledge of the most recent Anime shows and characters.
• Understand that travel is continuous. (i.e. employees go from one convention to the next convention, without going home in between conventions)
• Sell high volumes of posters at our conventions across the US and sometimes Canada.
• Create personal connections with customers. (Engage and pitch our product to every convention attendee that passes by our booth.)
• Travel consistently by plane to get to our events.
• Assist with setting up our booth 1-2 days prior to the event.
• Sell our acrylic wall art throughout the weekend (typically Fri-Sun)
• Assist with breaking-down our booth and packing up our supplies at the end of the event (typically on Sunday)
• Complete additional tasks as necessary to ensure that our booth gets setup properly on time. (This might mean arranging for a shipment to be picked up, ordering supplies, managing local staff, etc.)
• Follow directions, provide feedback, and read customer order information accurately and efficiently. (Ability to push upsells and promotions when dealing with customers. Can work well with a team and has a positive attitude toward feedback/constructive criticism.)
• Have the ability to carry up to 40lbs and stand for long periods of time (up to 10 hours per day.)

Typically, our salesperson will travel consistently on Wednesdays to get to the event and work through the weekend. They would have Monday-Wednesday as their days off in the city of the event location to be a tourist or relax before getting back on a plane to the next event.

After succeeding as a salesperson, you will be expected to be able to manage your own team of salespeople at events on your own within just 1-3 months.

The lowest total pay rate (including commissions) among our sales team is around $20/hour and (at the highest) $35/hour, but our guarantee to our sales staff is $16/hour for hours worked + commission earned, weekly at a convention or event, even when an event falls below the average hourly rate. All bonuses for our employees go into a pool that is paid out semi-annually! Expect consistent, earned base pay increases and a competitive bonus structure!

This position will begin as a part-time role (1-3 weekends per month). The best salespeople will become full-time managers within a short period of time.
