Position Summary
Allied Resources Group (ARG), a well-known and respected Technical Consulting Firm located in the North East Region of the USA, is seeking a motivated, ambitious and goal-oriented Business Development Manager to drive growth strategy and sales for the company in the Utility Markets for both gas and electrical. This position will be focused on selling technical services to the utility market across multiple companies in the Allied Resources Group. ARG Companies provide services in a broad range of industrial markets including Utilities, Oil and Gas, Chemicals, Industrial, Metals, and material handling. Allied resources Group have ambitious plans to grow in our markets serving the gas and electric utilities through expansions of existing services and through acquisitions of companies serving this market.
The successful candidate will work with ARG leadership and sales team to build a growth strategy aligned with the overall ARG strategy.
Responsibilities
- Perform and/or manage all phases of business development from sales strategies, new client development, client account management, market analysis, competitor intel, proposal & pricing generation, contract negotiation and oversight of the operational seller-doers. Our work spans all phases of a project.
- Oversee client accounts and coordinate Core Client management by operations.
- Lead sales efforts including client interface, relationship development and proposal creation.
- Drive the development of marketing strategies, marketing material and marketing messaging.
- Develop the overall sales message, value proposition, sales approach, and philosophies.
- Sequence, schedule, organize, and directing the activities of proposal teams.
- Document and manage the sales process using our Salesforce CRM tool.
- Create or improve department work processes and procedures to improve our business development.
- Coordinate with sister companies on joint pursuits.
Qualifications
- Advanced interpersonal, oral, and written communications skills with the ability to cold call, negotiate with clients and speak publicly.
- Ability to read and interpret technical information, financial reports, and legal documents.
- Be an enthusiastic and motivated team player with a strong drive to deliver against commitments.
- Ability to travel in the region to interface with the various offices and client locations
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering or related area is preferred, but experience may be substituted for education.
- 10+ years of experience in sales, preferably to utilities in the North East Region of the USA.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $100,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
